The popular restaurant’s dining room at Margate may be closed, but the kitchen is open for business and the head chef has created a Mother’s Day takeaway menu to tempt everyone’s tastebuds.
The menu is available for lunch from 11am-2.30pm and dinner from 5-8pm.
Entree: Choose from avocado and prawn salad; salt and pepper calamari rings with petite salad; mushroom risotto, or smoked chicken salad.
Main course: Choose from macadamia barramundi with potato and vegetables; Victorian lamb rump with rosemary potatoes, vegetables and jus; chicken breast Mediterranean pocketed with sun-dried tomato and vegetables; or fettucine napolitana (vegetarian).
Dessert: Choose from flourless chocolate cake; orange and walnut cake; blueberry pannacotta; or pavlova and fruit.
A main and dessert costs $35; entrée and main $42; entrée, main and dessert $49 (pre-order and prepaid only. Pick-up only). Wine, beer and soft drinks are also available, so there’s no need to go anywhere else.

If your mum enjoys fine wine, antipasto and cheese, Ocean View Estates Winery has the perfect Mother’s Day gift for her.
They’ve put together a limited number of bespoke wicker picnic baskets full of goodies to make her feel special. They include a bottle of Stella Viognier, a 250g bag of OVE specialty coffee, a handmade coffee mug by Woodside Ceramics, a cheese and antipasto platter, a loaf of OVE pale ale and wattleseed sourdough, an almond croissant, and the basket to keep.
