Water attraction back with a splash

The world’s tallest on-water waterslide is among the fresh attractions at AquaSplash Redcliffe, which opened just in time for the school holidays.

At six metres tall, the slide is a huge drawcard for thrill-seekers, AquaSplash founder Matt Devine says.
Matt says the course was immensely popular in previous seasons, with families relishing the chance to spend time together challenging themselves on the water.

While last season was cut short by three months after smoke haze from a disastrous bushfire season blanketed the region and then COVID-19 hit, Matt says the first part of the season was a great success.

“We had lots of happy smiling faces and excited locals,” he says.

Exciting challenges

Along with the world’s tallest on-water waterslide, the Witbit action tower with a vertical rock-climbing wall and an overhang at the top is creating exciting challenges for visitors.

AquaSplash likes to change things up and keep it new and different every season,” Matt says.

He says the AquaSplash team has an industry-approved COVID-19 safety plan in place.

“We look forward to implementing it and people from the Morton Bay and greater Brisbane regions being able to get out and stretch their legs and enjoy some fun in the sun,” he says.

Families connect

“A visit to AquaSplash in these challenging times is great for families to reconnect and forget about their worries, even if it’s just for an hour.

“There is nothing better than seeing your little ones and big ones smile and laugh as they try to navigate our course.”

Entry to the course is $15 for a 50-minute session for children aged 5-9 ($26 for two hours), $20 for 50 minutes for those aged 10-plus ($33 for two hours) and $49 for an all-day pass for people aged 14 or over.

AquaSplash also has sessions for parties, schools and other groups.
