Brisbane Whale Watching

The whales are back for their yearly migration to and from Antarctica, and tens of thousands of them are expected to pass through Moreton Bay from now until November.

If your mum would love the chance to see the whales resting and playing in the protected and pristine waters of Moreton Bay, a Brisbane Whale Watching gift voucher is the ideal present this Mother’s Day.

The whale watching season typically runs from May to November and the team aboard Eye Spy can’t wait to take guests out for this experience of a lifetime when COVID-19 restrictions ease.

Tours are usually run daily, weather permitting, from Redcliffe Jetty. There are three levels of seating – standard, premium and VIP.

Why not buy mum a gift voucher for a five-hour whale watching adventure, buffet lunch, full commentary and Brisbane Whale Watching’s whale sighting guarantee? Plus if you use the promo code mums2020, you’ll get her a free premium upgrade. Then, when tours resume, all she has to do is book her seat.

Tours are $135 for adults, $95 children (4-14 years), $125 concession, $365 family (2 adults, 2 children). Visit the website for details and to book.

G’Day Adventure Tours

If you think your mum would enjoy a four-wheel-drive tour of Bribie Island and its historic WWII forts, a voucher for a G’Day Adventure Tours experience is the perfect Mother’s Day gift.

The Bribie Island 4WD + Fort Bribie Bunker Tour is rated as one of the best things to do on the island.

It begins with a short drive through the national park beach access track to the beach. First stop is Norfolk Lagoon, followed by Mermaid Lagoon. These areas provide fantastic Instagram photo ops with family, friends and native wildlife and scenery.

The tour continues north along the beach to the next destination within Bribie Island National Park. When your mum arrives at the WWII bunkers (Fort Bribie) she will have the chance to learn the history of these structures, that are slowly descending into the ocean and may one day cease to exist. The tour then heads south through the national park and ends at the original pick-up point.

Tours aren’t running at the moment, due to COVID-19 restrictions, but gift vouchers are available for when they resume. Tickets are $77 adults, $57 children (7-12 years), $70 seniors and students. Visit the website for details and to book
