Australia’s top professional bull riders are heading back to Caboolture’s QSEC arena.
PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Australia’s Monster Energy Tour will buck into the Beerburrum Rd venue on August 14.
It will be the second successive year PBR Australia has brought the tour to QSEC, this time it will be for the Back to the Heartland Series Caboolture Invitational.
Tickets are on sale now for the Invitational - part of a nationwide tour of iconic venues and regions - at pbraustralia.com.au
PBR Australia’s tour is pitching top riders squaring off against 900kg bucking bulls in eight-second rides and wrecks.
In 2020, the Monster Energy Tour not only debuted in Caboolture, but returned to competition there after 203 days following the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Jack McArthur, from Cooyar, won the opening edition of the PBR Caboolture Invitational, with young gun Kelsey Pavlou (Victoria) taking the second event.
McArthur had his first PBR Australia victory with a perfect 2-for-2 performance, highlighted by the high-marked ride of his career, an 87.5-point effort on Annihilation.
Also recording his first PBR Australia event win in Caboolture, Pavlou’s golden finish was also headlined by a high-marked ride covering Black Rat for 83.5 points in Round 1.
Before the country’s top tour came last year, Caboolture had hosted PBR Australia for Pro Touring Division events in 2013-14. PBR world champion Silvano Alves won in 2014.
Action begins at 7pm on August 14 at QSEC. After all riders have one bull in Round 1, the Top 10 go to the championship round for one more out and a chance at the title.
Tickets for the PBR Australia Monster Energy Tour’s Caboolture Invitational are on sale for $40, taxes and fees not included, and can be purchased at pbraustralia.com.au
All PBR Australia events are subject to change, planned with directives issued by relevant government and health authorities given the evolving regulations during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.
