Tigers quick off the mark for training

Free preseason training and development programs kick off this week at the Redcliffe Tigers AFL Club.

First off the mark is the female development program, aimed at girls aged from 11 through to senior women.

The four sessions over consecutive weeks are open to females wanting to play AFL in 2021 and are suitable for people who’ve never picked up a football through to seasoned players.

Sessions start November 2 and run until November 23 every Monday from 5.30-7pm.

Preseason training for under-12s born between July 1, 2008 and June 20, 2009 starts on November 3 and runs for four weeks.

Training is open to current players and boys who want to give AFL a go, with experienced coaches who have developed a fitness and skills program to suit all levels.

Sessions run each Tuesday until November 24, from 5-6pm.

Free skills sessions for under-16.5s (born July 1, 2004-June 30, 2006) begin on November 5 and run for five weeks.

Open to new, current or returning players, each session runs from 5-6.15pm.

All programs will be held at the Tigers’ home ground at 30 Nathan Rd, Kippa-Ring.
