Tigers hosting junior finals at home

Five of the six Redcliffe AFL Tigers youth teams to make the finals will battle it out for a place in the Grand Final on home turf on Sunday.

President Gayle Wetzel says AFLQ granting the Tigers the right to host the youth finals is an honour for the club.

“It's a great opportunity to showcase our facilities and show the rest of the competition what a great environment we have at The Tigers,” she says.

When to catch the action

The Tigers’ under-13 girls division 3 team - a joint team with the North Lakes Eels - kicks off the day at Nathan Rd, taking on the Sandgate Hawks at 8.30am, followed by the under-12 division 3 team against the Aspley Hornets at 10.15am.

Then the division 3 under-14s take the field against the Kenmore Bears at noon, the division 2 under-17 girls tackle the Morningside Panthers at 1.45pm, with the division 3 under-16s going head-to-head against the West Juniors at 3.30pm to end the day of action .

The club’s sixth youth team in the finals, the division 2 under-15 girls - a joint team with North Lakes - match up against the Moreton Bay Lions at 9am at Moreton Bay.

There will be a canteen and coffee available all day at the Tigers’ Nathan Rd grounds.
