Takeaway fish and chips Bribie Island | Moreton Bay Region

Take the bait – fish and chips by the water

Have you been craving hot fish and chips, a water view and a cool sea breeze on your face? Good news, thanks to an easing of COVID-19 restrictions, you can get your fix from May 2.

We’ve put a list together of the best seaside spots and outlets in the Moreton Bay Region, so you can take your pick.

But first, here’s what you can and can’t do

You can …

  • go for a drive within 50km of your home. If you’re 65 years or older, the State Government suggests doing this during the week when fewer people are out and about
  • go on a picnic with your family or members of the same household. Single people can go with one other person
  • go shopping for non-essential items such as clothes and shoes
  • visit some national parks
  • ride a motorbike, jet ski or boat for pleasure

You can’t …

  • use playgrounds or communal barbecues in parks or picnic spots
  • go four-wheel driving on Bribie Island
  • gather in groups, other than family/household members
  • disregard social distancing requirements
