Three members of Redcliffe Little Athletics will be presented with their Queensland team uniforms at a special ceremony this month.
Skye Presland-Tack, Daniel Harlow and Zobair Mohammed secured spots in the Under 13 squad after impressing at the state titles.
In its 48-year history, Redcliffe Little Athletics previously only had seven members in the state’s Under 13 squad … until now.
The Australian Championships have been cancelled due to COVID, but Little Athletics Queensland will hold an event on April 24 for those in the 2020 and 2021 teams, with a presentation of uniforms.
It follows an excellent state titles for Redcliffe with gold, silver and bronze medals - and a host of personal best (pb) performances.
Under 9: Chrysler McLoughlin won gold in 800m, bronze in 400m, also competed in high jump, long jump and 200m.
Under 10: Savannah Donaldson had a pb in the 400m.
Under 11: Jake Hooper had a pb in the 400m. Zyon Iakopo had a personal best at 80m hurdles.
Under 12: Amber Baker was a finalist in 1500m walks with a personal best. Matthys Visser had a personal best in discus by 3m. Samuel Perez won the Spirit and Heart award for great effort in 100m, long jump, high jump, 80m hurdles and triple jump.
Under 13: Jordanna was in the 100m heats. Charlotte Ferguson had a personal best by 1.5 seconds in 100m just missed medal, 200m finalist. Taisha Eketone won bronze in the shot put and was in the top 10 for discus.
Skye Presland-Tack won silver in 1500m walks, personal best by 30 seconds in 1500m, personal best by 8 seconds in 800m and 400m.
Daniel Harlow won gold in 400m, 800m, 80m hurdles and gold and broke 11-year state record in the 200m hurdles. Zobair Mohammed won gold in long jump, silver 100m, 4th shot put. Also in 80m hurdles.
Under 14: Rozelle De Villier had a personal best by 20 seconds in the 1500m and 11th in the 800m.
