Silver celebrations for Arana VIEW Club

The Arana View Club celebrated its silver jubilee with an afternoon of festivities yesterday.

Members and guests donned sparkles and silver to mark the occasion at the Arana Leagues Club, with James Lergessner and the Boom Baby band providing the entertainment.

The Arana VIEW (Voice, Interests and Education of Women) Club is part of a network of almost 300 clubs and more than 14,000 women throughout Australia.

VIEW, founded 60 years ago last year, is the largest community sponsor of students in The Smith Family Learning for Life program.

Arana VIEW Club , with about 120 members, raises about $10,000 each year to sponsor the education of 14 young people in the Moreton Bay Region through Learning for Life.

Members meet for a variety of social activities to raise money for The Smith Family, including a lunch at the Arana Leagues Club on the first Wednesday of the month.

The Arana VIEW Club welcomes new members. Phone President Judy Dittman on 0424 315 300 or email
