Scaling your business insights at chamber meeting

The Pine Rivers Chamber of Commerce has joined forces with The Mill at Moreton Bay to continue its push to support, connect and grow local businesses in the Moreton Bay region.

Chamber president Geri Davie says the non-profit organisation, aligned with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Queensland, works to support, connect and grow local businesses and industries.

“We believe supporting free trade is the best approach to grow our local economy, create more jobs and raise the living standards of every member of our community.

“We facilitate local business networking to help grow businesses, offer educational opportunities, represent the needs and values of businesses within our community, and provide members with opportunities for advancement.

“The Pine Rivers Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce our newest partnership with The Mill at Moreton Bay in Petrie,” Geri says.

Positioned to emerge as a landmark destination, The Mill at Moreton Bay is being planned, delivered and activated by Council-owned Millovate.

Visions align

Millovate CEO Stuart Pickering says the chamber’s mission aligns with Millovate’s strategic vision to create and sustain employment opportunities, and attract business and industries to The Mill at Moreton Bay.

“We are proud to partner with the Pine Rivers Chamber of Commerce as they continue to embark on supporting and growing local businesses and industries in proximity to The Mill at Moreton Bay.

“As an economic and community urban centre emerging for innovative and diverse businesses and industries to co-locate, The Mill at Moreton Bay will create a significant workforce who can co-locate as future residents to enjoy cultural, health, leisure, education and sporting amenities on their doorstep with visitors to the precinct, surrounded by natural beauty,” Stuart says.

He says The Mill at Moreton Bay is projected to stimulate $813 million in the local economy and generate 8600 jobs, with development opportunities in health, education, tourism, entertainment and sport, high-tech advanced manufacturing, smart city infrastructure, arts and culture, commerce, retail, and medium to high density accommodation.
