Roads flooded in Moreton Bay Region

Heavy rain in recent days has caused flash flooding with a number of roads closed across the Moreton Bay Region. Here’s the list.

The Moreton Bay Regional Council website lists 23 road closures as at 7.20am.

Brendale: Leitchs Rd pedestrian bridge at South Pine River

Caboolture: Hume Rd

Elimbah: Old Gympie Rd at Six Mile Creek

Elimbah: Williams Rd

Kobble Creek: Kobble Creek Rd at Pringles Rd

Mango Hill: Chermside Rd

Moodlu: Whittington Rd

Moodlu: Williams Rd at Lagoon Creek

Morayfield: Underpass Rd near William Berry Drive

Morayfield: Visentin Rd near Underpass Rd

Mount Delaney: Dewhurts Rd

Mount Delaney: Wiseman Rd

Neurum: Rasmussen Rd

Petrie: Youngs Crossing Rd

Rocksberg: Best Rd at Keillors Crossing

Rocksberg: Old North Rd at Zillmans Crossing

Stanmore: Cove Rd

Strathpine: Mott St

Wamuran Basin: Basin Rd at R Sampson Rd

Whiteside: Whiteside Rd from 55 to 73

Woodford: Old Cove Rd at Blackrock Creek

Do not drive through floodwater

If it's flooded, forget it!

  • Drive to prevailing conditions
  • Take caution when crossing any storm water on roadways
  • Do not attempt to traverse creeks and other crossings that are clearly under water
  • Be aware that potholes may form during periods of high rainfall. Report potholes to Council
