Roads closed in the Moreton Bay Region

Heavy rain overnight and this morning has caused flash flooding with a number of roads closed across the Moreton Bay Region. Here’s the list.

The Moreton Bay Regional Council website lists 34 road closures as at 5.15pm.

Brendale: Leitchs Rd pedestrian bridge at South Pine River

Caboolture: Centenary Lakes Rd

Caboolture: Dances Rd and King Johns Creek

Caboolture: Hume Rd

Cedarton: Doyle Rd near Cedarton Drive

Elimbah: Hamilton Rd (north of Emu Rd)

Elimbah: King Rd

Elimbah: McConachy Rd

Elimbah: Old Gympie Rd at Six Mile Creek

Elimbah: Rose Creek Rd

Elimbah: Rose Creek Rd at Six Mile Creek

Elimbah: Williams Rd

Lawnton: Todds Rd at Todds Gully

Moodlu: Whittington Rd

Moodlu: Williams Rd at Lagoon Creek

Morayfield: Underpass Rd near William Berry Drive

Do not drive through floodwater

If it's flooded, forget it!

  • Drive to prevailing conditions
  • Take caution when crossing any storm water on roadways
  • Do not attempt to traverse creeks and other crossings that are clearly under water
  • Be aware that potholes may form during periods of high rainfall. Report potholes to Council
