The RACQ’s mobile centre has arrived in Redcliffe today to help members affected by the recent floods.
It has been set-up at Redcliffe Showgrounds, via Scarborough Rd, and will be open 8.30am-5pm daily, including over the weekend.
RACQ staff will be on hand to discuss claims, the process and help members with inquiries. A similar centre has been set-up in Goodna.
General Manager Claims Trent Sayers said as at 8am today (March 10), RACQ had received more than 11,500 claims including 9305 for homes and 2220 for vehicles.
“Moreton Bay and northern Brisbane suburbs were hardest hit, with almost 4000 property and motor vehicle claims received in those communities alone,” he said.
“We expect claims will continue to flow through as people assess the damage and we want to be there for our members to support them through this difficult time.
“We’re continuing to provide safety checks, emergency payments, temporary accommodation, insurance advice and tailored disaster relief packages to bank members

RACQ Foundation has this week launched a special funding round as part of its Community Grants Program.
Grants of up to $100,000 are available to support local groups such as sporting clubs, historical and show societies, men’s sheds and charities impacted by the storms and flooding.
