Region’s newest club to open next week

Sports Central Caboolture, the former Caboolture RSL club, will open as planned on Monday September 28 after receiving confirmation of licensing approvals.

The former Caboolture RSL, which closed on September 13, is getting a modest facelift including new carpets in the gaming and foyer areas, glass door frosting, front door decals, building signs, signage, vinyl wraps and new furniture.

Sports Central Caboolture, on the corner of Beerburrum Rd and Hasking St, will have a bistro, café, gaming lounge, sports lounge, bar facilities and three function spaces.

Central Bistro which will open four nights a week for dinner and two days for lunch with classic pub favourites such as chicken schnitzels, fettuccini carbonara, steaks and more.

The Grounds Café will open seven days a week from 10am with the independent coffee brand Sunday Collab, grab and go selections, toasted sandwiches, pastries, melts, wraps and more.

The club will have a Sporting Lounge showing games such as the AFL and NRL grand finals and has re-employed most of the Caboolture RSL staff including Deborah.

Exciting times

“I absolutely love my job, loved the RSL, love the community, patrons, my work family. All of this is very dear to me,” says Deborah, Central’s Foyer Supervisor, who clocked up 20 years with Caboolture RSL in March.

“Now coming across to Sports Central I am just overwhelmed that I’ve been taken on board as well and it’s very exciting, and I can’t wait to start this new era of this beautiful club (Central).”

There will be weekly promotions, trivia hosted by comedian Mike Van Acker, three bingo sessions per week and more than over $2000 of raffle prizes.

Memberships are available online. For just $5.50 a year or $3.30 for seniors with discounts, rewards and access to the four CSC Group community clubs in the Moreton Bay region.
