Redcliffe Show to open with half-price Friday

The 73rd Redcliffe Show opens tomorrow, with half-price admission on Friday for adults and pensioners and free entry for children (under 14 years).

The annual three-day event (June 24-26) is one of the largest shows in South East Queensland, attracting about 20,000 people each year.

Night program highlights includes the dazzling Walter Whip and the Flames and Thunder and Hooves show which is a journey back to the dark ages with war, galloping horses, love, fury, fire, swords and fiery arrows with Game of Thrones vibe.

There’s also the Eljay BMX Stunt Rider show, Aussie FMX Motocross and fireworks on Friday and Saturday night at 8.30pm.

During the day, you can take your pick of horse jumping and traditional ring events, championship dog show (Friday, 9am), woodchopping (Saturday and Sunday), cattle and poultry judging (Saturday), grand stock parade (Saturday), car show judging and parade (Saturday), and Kgari Kelpie Stud dog jumping (Sunday).

The Redcliffe Show also offers free educational entertainment with an animal nursery and reptile displays, along with Stunt BMX Rider displays, puppet shows, whip cracking workshops for children, pig racing and the creative pavilions of art, craft, photography, needlework, cookery, school work and horticulture

There’s also sideshow alley, food stalls and showbags. And don’t forget to visit the pavilions to check out displays of horticulture, schoolwork, arts, craft, photography, needlework, cooking and woodcraft.

Cooking demonstrations at the show

Expert cooks Brenden Clem, Gloria Johnson and Pam Stanley will share some of what they know about cake decorating and sugar art at this year’s Redcliffe Show.

Pam will be there on Friday, Gloria on Saturday and Brenden on Sunday. It’s your chance to learn from the experts.

Support Redcliffe Show raffle

The Redcliffe Show Society will again run a massive raffle with a selection of prizes valued at a total of $3500 including a fridge, hanging chair, lawn mower, grass trimmer and blower kit, mesh gorilla cart filled with groceries, framed Broncos’ jersey and office chair.

Tickets are $2 each or three for $5. The winners will be drawn on June 26, 2022.

The Redcliffe Show Society thanked the business community for their generosity in donating prizes again this year, particularly during challenging times.

How to get tickets

Tickets to this year’s Redcliffe Show are available online at or at the gate for purchase using cash or EFTPOS. They are $12 adults, $6 pensioners and children (5-14 years), free for infants (0-5 years).

Entry is half price on Friday, June 24, and free for children (5-14 years).
