North Lakes man hits Gold Lotto jackpot

A North Lakes man in his 20s is now contemplating life as a multi-millionaire after winning division one in the weekend’s Saturday Gold Lotto draw.

He had one of the four division one winning entries nationally in Saturday’s Gold Lotto draw. Each division one winning entry collected $2.5 million.

“It’s a lovely day today!” the winner laughed when speaking to an official from The Lott.

'I didn't believe it'

“I checked my ticket on the app after the draw. At first, I didn’t believe it. I thought it wasn’t real, but it actually is.

“I think I got about two hours of sleep as I was just looking at the ticket. It’s crazy! I never thought in my life that I would have a win like this.

“I have been playing Lotto for over a year, but I didn’t play for about a month but then I decided to put a ticket on. I just thought I would try it again.

“Others play their favourite numbers, but I just thought I’d grab a QuickPick.”

House hunting

Now a multi-millionaire, the man in his 20s says he was keeping a level head and planning for his future.

“I can buy a house now,” he says. “I like my job, so I’ll keep doing that. This win is just a real privilege. I can set myself up for life.”

The winner bought his 12-game QuickPick online at thelott.com – Australia’s official lotteries.

The winning numbers in Saturday Gold Lotto draw 4155 on May 15, 2021 were 19, 16, 5, 41, 15 and 20, while the supplementary numbers were 4 and 21.
