Do you know a woman, working hard in our community? Nominate her for a Queensland Rural, Regional and Remote Women's Network’s Strong Women Leadership Award.
The network’s awards program celebrates exceptional leadership in women who live, work, achieve, volunteer and/or are in service of Queensland’s rural, regional and remote areas.
This includes women from the Moreton Bay Region. Two from the Redcliffe Peninsula were nominated last year.
“These awards aim to identify and recognise women in the initial phase of their careers, spirit of enterprise and service to lift them up and support their further development,” president Tracey Martin says.
“Many nominees are established in their role, who innovate and expand their contributions and already serve in their communities as role models. We treasure the opportunity to also put the spotlight on them.”
In a year that’s been challenging for businesses and community organisations, the awards are a timely change to nurture, sustain and lead others.
The awards not only recognises achievements, but also connects nominees with QRRRWN’s network.
Their skills are nurtured and developed by a series of webinars which encourage nominees to work with mentors to articulate their work, both volunteer and paid.
