Museum marking ANZAC Day with formation flights

Aircraft from the Caboolture Warplane and Flight-Heritage Museum will be taking to the skies next week to help commemorate ANZAC Day 2022.

Formation flights are being held on Sunday and Monday (April 24-25) with adventure flights Tuesday (April 26) . There are still vacancies for paying back-seat passengers.

A North American SNJ-4, CAC Wirraway training plane will be airborne all three days and joined by a T-28 Trojan on the final day. Both are hangered at Caboolture.

Many passenger places have been snapped up but at the time of writing some were still available.

Caboolture is home to Queensland’s only operational flying warbird museum showcasing to visitors vital parts of Australia’s history, particularly aviation in the last century.


“We show them what their fathers and grandfathers experienced in building a proud tradition based on the highest standards of efficiency, expertise and courage,” said president Ross Parker.

The museum recognises, respects, honours and perpetuates the spirit of ANZAC and sacrifices made by Australian men and women in the war, so future generations never forget.

It is open seven days at Unit 101/157 McNaught Rd, Caboolture, with volunteers hosting tours. Entry $10 adults and $7 concessions and seniors. Phone 5330 1969.
