The Redcliffe Markets are reopening on Mother’s Day, so if you don’t have a clue what to buy your mum, why don’t you let her choose something special herself.
It will also be the chance to enjoy a few hours in the fresh air, by the seaside.
The markets have been closed since late March due to COVID-19 restrictions, but can now reopen so long as guidelines are followed.
Goodwill Projects, which runs the markets, promises there will be plenty of options for Mother’s Day gifts as well as fresh produce and artisan provisions if you’re planning to make mum a meal to remember.
You could buy her a bouquet from Nav's Fresh Flowers, have her jewellery cleaned at The Jewellery Buff, buy her a new piece at from Gemz Australia or take your pick of artisan gifts including resin boards, fun earrings, beautiful artwork, and hand-poured scented candles.
Set alongside the picturesque Redcliffe Jetty, the markets also offer farm-direct produce and meats, trawler-direct seafood, fresh baked breads, gourmet food and provisions, handmade wares, arts and crafts, and much more.
It is a much-loved hub dedicated to supporting and showcasing the best growers, makers, builders and bakers in the Moreton Bay Region and surrounds.
Regulars will notice a few changes introduced to ensure the markets are the safest place to shop and support the community this Mother’s Day and in the months to come.
Some of these include mobile handwashing stations and hand sanitiser stations at the main entry points, large signage reminding shoppers of the importance of hygiene and social distancing, removal of public seating to discourage congregating, spread out stalls in some areas, more frequent sanitisation of shared areas such as bathrooms and ATMs, cashless transactions where possible and increased staffing.
So, make a Mother’s Day date with your mum and head to Redcliffe this Sunday for the markets, which are on from 8am-2pm.
All the action is at Redcliffe Pde, Redcliffe. Visit the website for details.
