The snap three-day lockdown, which takes effect at 4pm today has forced the cancellation of many big and small events across the region. Here’s a list
Moreton Bay Region is one of 11 council areas going into the lockdown following seven new cases of COVID-19’s Delta strain in the past 24 hours. The number of cases in coming days will determine how long the lockdown will be, but at this stage it is until 4pm on Tuesday (August 3).
The only reasons to leave your home will be to:
1. To buy essentials such as groceries or medications
2. Work or study if you can’t do either from home, no school unless children of essential workers
3. Exercise within 10km of your home
4. Healthcare or to provide help, care or support.
Moreton Bay Food + Wine Festival: was to run today and tomorrow at the Woody Point foreshore.
Pine Rivers Show: is open until 2.30pm today, but will not proceed tomorrow.
NRL game at Moreton Daily Stadium (Manly Sea Eagles v Cronulla Sharks): Decision pending on the game time and venue, but definitely no crowds.
North Harbour Tree Planting Day: will not proceed as planned tomorrow.
Gather and Feast High Tea (part of Tastes of Moreton Bay and Caboolture Festival program: will not proceed as planning on August 3.
Caboolture Markets: will not open tomorrow.
Bite Markets at North Habour: will not open tonight.
Redcliffe Markets: will not open tomorrow.
Pause Restaurant’s Jazz and Seafood: will not proceed tomorrow but has been rescheduled to August 22.
Morgan’s Seafood Trawler to Plate Experience: will not proceed on August 3.
Plus: All junior, community and state sport, non-essential shopping, and visits to galleries and museums.
