Killing Covid, not our Bay at local events

Killing Covid, not our Bay at local events

The annual Redcliffe KiteFest once again proved a huge success, attracting more than 30,000 people to Redcliffe across two days.

For event organisers Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT), providing a COVID-safe environment at their events and festivals has never been more important, explains CEO Shane Newcombe.

“The health and wellbeing of our patrons has always been our top priority, but now more than ever, doing our part to prevent the spread of this virus is paramount,” Shane says.

“The annual Redcliffe KiteFest is always our biggest event on the calendar and is by far the largest our team has delivered since COVID – we definitely had our work cut out for us to keep everyone safe.

“Thanks to our newly formed partnership with homegrown brand Natroshield, our team of cleaners were provided with the highest-grade protection disinfectant and hand sanitisers, that were also alcohol and chemical free, meaning it was safe and non-toxic for families.

“The Natroshield products were our secret weapon in the battle against the virus and provided our team with the confidence we needed to deliver the event to the highest possible standard of cleanliness.”

Natroshield has a long history and strong ties to the Moreton Bay Region, with Managing Director John Postle born and bred in Redcliffe.

“It gives us great pleasure to partner with like-minded people such as MBRIT, as we worked together to deliver this year’s Redcliffe KiteFest in a safe and toxic-free environment, which is so important at a family event delivered on the doorstep of our beautiful Moreton Bay,” John says.

“In today’s world, we need solutions that target the virus while providing a non-toxic environment for our children and the earth. Our legacy should be one of care while we fight this virus. I, for one, do not want to leave my children to clean up the potential residue caused by chemical solutions.”

Passionate about the earth and when it became clear that Australian’s needed an alcohol and chemical-free solution to fighting viruses, John worked with a team to successfully bring Natroshield through TGA and HCAAP testing.

Natroshield is proudly a Queensland-made product and is used by some of the most prestigious and highly visited locations in Australia and Asia, including shopping centres and government offices.
