Jetty 2 Jetty fabulous fun for first-timers

You don’t have to be a fitness fanatic to take part in Queensland’s longest-running fun run.

Jetty 2 Jetty organisers have launched a First-Timers Club to encourage people of all levels of fitness to take part.

Moreton Bay Region Tourism and Industry CEO Shane Newcombe says taking part in J2J is a great way to spend time with family and friends and the First-Timers Club gives people the chance to see what it’s all about.

“A common misconception that people have is that you need to be a fitness guru to participate in a fun run,” he says.

“The J2J is going to prove what it’s always claimed – it’s a fun run for everyone.

“The J2J First-Timers Club is for anyone who wants to try out a fun run for the first time.

“No matter your age, or whether you’re running with a pram, kids, family or friends, we encourage you to come along and see what makes this event so special.”

Win a voucher

Organisers are encouraging people to have a go in the Sesame Lane 3km event, with every first-time entrant going into the draw to win a $400 rebel voucher.

“It’s your choice if you want to run, walk or skip your way across the finish line,” Mr Newcombe says.

“Above all else we want everyone to have fun and get in a bit of exercise while enjoying the amazing views of Moreton Bay.”

Regarded as one of Queensland’s most scenic fun runs, the Jetty 2 Jetty course is set against the stunning Moreton Bay Marine Park, with views of Moreton Island.

Merch on offer

Entry prices include official 2022 merchandise, with Kindred 21km and Moreton Daily 10km entrants receiving a J2J singlet, while Sesame Lane 3km and Planet Fitness 5km entrants will receive a J2J visor.

Merchandise is also available to buy at the time of registering.

Runners can save on their entry fee by signing up, or joining, a team of 10 or more by May 2, which scores them a 10 percent discount.

The Jetty 2 Jetty Fun Run is proudly presented by Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) and supported by Sesame Lane, Planet Fitness, Moreton Daily, Kindred, and Grand Prix Mazda Caboolture, and with major partners Tourism & Events Queensland and rebel, Moreton Bay Road Runners, and Moreton Bay Regional Council.
