Redcliffe Padres found the Demons too hot to handle in their recent women’s baseball grand final at Tallobilla Park.
The visitor’s gun pitcher Sam Sullivan threw a faultless game as Narangba ran out 17-0 winners.
Padres still took credit for their efforts with Kate Oppatt having a “great outing on the hump” and Kirsty Dyson, at shortstop, bravely saved several runs.
Padres only had one loss all season, which was a remarkable effort under coach Jason Kilby, a Division One player, who hit a three-run homerun the previous night to secure victory.
