It’s been a challenging start to 2022 for many, so what better reason to grab a sombrero for a street party to shake the blues away.
It’s happening at the Redcliffe Markets, along the Redcliffe foreshore at Redcliffe Pde, on March 26 from 4-9pm.
Vendors Carlos Tacos, Paellaman, My Latino Fusion, Churros Bites, La Parilla, Rojoy Blanco, Seaviche and Pipil Cucu will delight taste buds, serving up authentic South American cuisine.
Think paella, arepas, empanadas, anticuchos, asado and Mayan herbal teas. For those you aren’t keen on South American cuisine, all their usual market favourites will also be there.
Two roving Brazilian bands will have you swinging your hips like it’s Shakira’s business and, thanks to Cactus Jacks Redcliffe, there will be fireworks at 8pm.
There will also be Samba dancers and drummers, stilt walkers, handcrafted arts and handmade goods, boutique fashions and accessories and more.
Entry is free and parking is available in nearby streets.
