Moreton Bay Symphony Orchestra’s next concert will take the audience on a journey through the ages of American music.
Featuring classics from some of America’s most famous composers, ‘The American Dream’ brings a full orchestra to the stage.
Orchestra president and viola player Eve Brown says MBSO’s second concert of the year promises to be a fantastic afternoon the whole family will enjoy.
“Come along and travel through the ages of American music with us,” Eve says.
“We will be playing works based on American folk songs through to Dvorak’s American Suite for Orchestra.”
Ryan Nunn, who has been a cellist with the orchestra for the past five years, says he is looking forward to being part of the event.
“I think the audience will feel as if they have been transported right into the heart of the USA when they hear our music,” Ryan says.
The concert is on May 8 at 2pm at the Clontarf Beach State High School hall.
Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 concession and $10 for students, with primary school students free.
Bookings must be made online before the concert due to COVID-19 regulations.
