Redcliffe Farmers and Artisan Markets will host its first ever Christmas in July Twilight Markets this Saturday, July 10.

The event is on from 4-9pm at Redcliffe Pde and will feature a sideshow alley and petting zoo, along with special visits from Mrs Claus, her Elf friends, fire twirlers and stilt walkers.

Visitors of all ages will also be able to enjoy live entertainment, fireworks, food and more than 200 stalls along the foreshore. These will offer one-of-a-kind homewares, jewellery, clothing and more.

Organisers say the Christmas in July Twilight Markets are the perfect opportunity to get into the Christmas spirit, with the markets taking on a winter wonderland theme and atmosphere.

What’s happening

Market co-ordinator Mark Power says patrons can expect unique stalls selling everything from gingerbread houses to hot chocolates and shining crystals, hand poured candles, and evergreen pot plants and everything in between.

“Follow the smells of gingerbread and spiced bratwurst through the laneways, and rug up while you browse the bespoke handicrafts, wrap your hands around a warm steaming drink and pretend that we have a real winter,” Mark says.

There will also be gourmet street eats and family activities to enjoy.

Tickets to the event are free, but you can book here to secure your spot.

The Redcliffe Markets’ Christmas in July Twilight Markets is a COVID-safe event with an approved plan in place to keep the community safe.

Visitors are required to wear masks and observe social distancing.
