Caboolture Carols Cancelled

Caboolture Christmas Carols cancelled

Wet weather has forced organisers of this year’s Caboolture Christmas Carols to cancel the event, due to be staged this Sunday at Centenary Lakes.

In a statement released today, Moreton Bay Region Industry and Tourism (MBRIT) Chairman Shane Newcombe said persistent heavy rain this week and forecasts of more to come in the next few days left it with no option.

“Moisture tests reveal the venue is too wet to proceed. This is a disappointing outcome, but we want to thank all who supported this event and all contractors, performers, and staff involved,” Mr Newcombe said.

There are three more signature Christmas carols events planned this festive season as part of the Christmas in the Moreton Bay Region program, presented by Moreton Daily in partnership with MBRIT, Moreton Bay Regional Council and media partners Channel 9 and B105.

“We encourage Caboolture locals to check out our other upcoming Christmas carol events in North Lakes (Sunday, December 5), Redcliffe (Sunday, December 12), and Pine Rivers (Sunday, December 19),” Mr Newcombe said.

“We can’t wait to spend some magical evenings with you all! Above all, stay safe this festive season.”
