Albany Creek Excelsior (ACE) maintained its remarkable unbeaten record in normal playing time right up to the last match of the season.
ACE Senior Men and Reserves won their respective Brisbane Premier League (BPL) Premierships without losing a match.
The top side also won the Canale Cup, over five knockout rounds, before the Reserves lifted their Grand Final trophy on Friday beating Toowong 3-0.
But the Seniors just failed to add a sixth trophy to the club’s season’s haul.
Bayside won Sunday’s grand final 3-2 on penalties after the match had been tied at 1-1 after 90 minutes and an additional 30 minutes.
It left ACE with 25 wins, three draws and two defeats from 30 matches this season – both defeats were on penalties after extra time.
The Reserves finished with 22 wins and two draws from 24 matches this year.
